As a structural engineer, he also has led the design of elegant and enduring bridges around the world. He is an expert on long-span, cable-supported bridges. He has played a key role in the creation of a number of contemporary structures, including the Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Bridge in Boston and the Blennerhassett Island Bridge over the Ohio River near Parkersburg, W.Va. Closer to Princeton, he has collaborated with noted Swiss engineer Christian Menn on the design of Streicker Bridge, the University's new pedestrian span being installed over Washington Road. Gossip Girl (I couldn't resist for those who watch the show)

Time flies when your busy

Needless to say it's been a crazy year. Our entire fully furnished basement was flooded back in June 2009 by our neighbour's pool. If you don't know the story you can check it out here as originally posted by my sister. The renovations are still ongoing and there is still a lot of furniture to replace but it's much better than it was an hopefully will be a soon distant memory.

Then to top it all off we are still in the midst of making soaps, lotions, knitted hats, candles etc. and that hasn't stopped. I work a full time job on top of all this and so suffice to say why this blog hasn't been updated in awhile.

Lea Michelle will be singing Madonna and Streisand tunes on Glee

Grey's Anatomy
I have to say this show has been a bit of a downer lately and I'm not enjoying it like I used too.



Private Practice Another show that has been sad as well but a tad perkier than Grey's.



Brothers and Sisters Have the kleenex ready for this show.



The Rachel Zoe Project A deliciously guilty pleasure but these characters get so stressed out over things that are really not life and death. Note-This show already aired but I'm getting caught up on Season 2.




There are many more shows I watch but this is what I thought of off the top of my head.

So since I'm Canadian and all I thought I'd post the behind the scenes coverage of Leah Miller's cover shoot for Flare magazine. It's a great Canadian magazine that I've loved for a long time. To check out Flare magazine click on the hightlighted link.

Leah Miller is most known for her work on Much Music and is co-host of Much on Demand and is also the co-host of So You Think You Can Dance Canada. I've been watching "So You Think You Can Dance Canada" and am curious to see who will win this year. I have my favourite picked out but you never know.

Melrose Place Trailer - Complex

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz stars in this new rendition of Melrose Place. If your familiar with the original I'm sure you can't wait to see the remake. You can hear Britney Spear's "Circus" in the background of the promo. The show starts September 8th (9 p.m. ET). Ashlee who is a new mother will play the role of Violet Foster, who is a girl from a small town trying to make it in L.A. She seems innocent but has a different side to her according to sources.

Kelly Clarkson has a new video out called "Already Gone." Her songwriter used the same backing track for Beyonce's "Halo." When Kelly found out she didn't want the song to be released but her record label decided to go ahead with it anyway.

Gossip Girl


Blair's (Leighton Meester) real life love is on a few episodes of "Gossip Girl." Also Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick is having problems with his girlfriend Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) as they got into a fight and she hosted a party last week-end that he didn't show up too.

Britney was shopping in Berlin after her concert last night. Jason her boyfriend went on a coffee run for her.

Beyonce Knowles beamed as she departed from Heathrow earlier today before popping up in a more casual outfit at JFK. She's been traveling around the UK for her tour, but she has a short break now before her next performance at Madison Square Garden on June 21. She ended her London run with a big surprise last night as George Michael joined her on stage for an "If I Were a Boy" duet. The crowd cheered wildly as the two pop icons belted out her song.

Gwen Stefani's back on the road with No Doubt, but she squeezed in time for an Elle photo shoot with Zuma. Her boys have joined her on tour and she talked about Kingston's personality plus how life has changed since she started out with her band. Here's more:

* On Kingston: "It’s one thing when you have an infant, but when you have this two-or three-year-old going, ‘Mommy, what’s the deal?’ it’s harder. Kingston’s whole thing is, ‘I need, I need.’ He is insane right now. We’re just hoping for the best and that he’s not going to turn out to be a freak, but we’ll see."
* On No Doubt: "Everybody’s making it like there’s all this new tension, you know, like I stepped away from the band and now they’re jealous of me, and look, maybe there is a little bit of that."
* On how she's changed: "I wasn’t even married. Now I’m a wife and a mother of two. It’s a really different role. I always referred to No Doubt as a marriage, because that’s what it’s like to be together for so long and go through what we’ve been through. I can’t really have that relationship with them anymore. My priorities are always going to be my husband and my family now. That’s a huge, huge thing."

Katie Holmes Pursuing a gig on "Dancing With The Stars"



Katie Holmes has been seen frequenting dance studios in the Hollywood area recently and the biggest question on everyone's mind is: Can she dance?

Well I for one saw her in a episode of "Eli Stone" and she did a song and dance and was fantastic. Snippet of it below:


Well, the story coming out of Life & Style is that Katie is in serious talks to make a special performance on Fox's So You Think You Can Dance.

A show insider tells the magazine: "She's met with judge and producer Nigel Lythgoe and everyone hopes she appears on this season or next season of the show."
