Hello,
Life has been a little crazy, I took 3 weeks off during Christmas break and my sister and I have a business (Splurge for the Senses) line of bath, beauty, gluten free baking and knitted hats etc. that keeps us busy. We finished our Christmas season and are now creating a new line of products.
Since it's been awhile since I posted I'll make this jam packed.

Diane Kruger showed her signature style on the cover of March's Glamour. She's making the press rounds to chat up her new film Unknown, which features January Jones and Liam Neeson, ahead of its release on Feb. 18. Conversation in her interview transitioned from her work to her personal life, though, with Diane confessing her thoughts on marriage and her l
ove of fashion for both herself and boyfriend Joshua Jackson. She said:
- On what she learned from marrying young: "Without sounding pessimistic, I learned that I don't believe in marriage. I believe in a commitment that you make in your heart. There's no paper that will make you stay."
- On Josh's sense of style: "We go shopping. But he likes it. I definitely wasn't fond of these blue sneakers that he wore all the time for about a year and a half."
- On her biggest fashion splurge: "The biggest fashion purchase I ever made I thought about for six years. I'm not kidding. All my life I wanted to own an Hermès Constance bag, and when I signed with Calvin Klein, I decided this was the time that I could afford it. I truly broke a sweat when I paid for it."
Nicole Richie in Red
Nicole Richie was ready to face the cold temperatures in London today when she touched down at Heathrow airport. The mother of two is off on a trip to England breaking from work on her new Winter Kate designs, though she'll be in NYC next week to show them off during Fall Fashion Week. Nicole seems happy about her latest European adventure, tweeting upon arrival, "London calling! Feels good to be back." She will likely be able to meet up with her husband, Joel Madden, who has been touring Europe with his band, Good Charlotte. He's prepping for a show tonight in Paris, then is heading straight to London.
Vanity Fair's Hollywood Issue
Vanity Fair's annual Hollywood Issue is full of some of the town's A-List, with Ryan Reynolds,Jake Gyllenhaal, Anne Hathaway and James Franco on the forefront of the cover. The special fold-out section features more celebs like Jennifer Lawrence, Anthony Mackie, Olivia Wilde, Jesse Eisenberg, Mila Kunis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Andrew Garfield, Rashida Jones, Garrett Hedlund, and Noomi Rapace. The shoot, which took place in December, actually gave Oscars hosts Anne and James a chance to meet. When asked how it was possible that they'd never crossed paths, Anne said in the accompanying behind-the-scenes video, "I don't know! Well, he's always in school and I don't go do any of the schools that he goes to." Inception leading man Joseph, meanwhile, weighed in on the accumulated star power and commented, "Everyone was really cool. I don't know how many of us there were, like ten people, and everyone was really smart and sweet and I met a bunch of people for the first time. I was actually surprised. Everyone was so nice!" The issue hits newsstands nationwide on Feb. 8, but before then check out the magazine's firsthand account of the scene.
Gwyneth Paltrow in Bazaar magazine
Gwyneth Paltrow played cover girl for the upcoming issue of Harper's Bazaar UK, and the full feature appears in the March issue on sale Thursday, Feb. 3. She lounged on a red chair in the accompanying shoot from photographer Alexi Lubomirski, and in her interview she spoke about her work on Country Strong and took on those who hate on her GOOP newsletter. Gwyneth also shared about her love for pal Beyoncé Knowles, whom the actress refers to as "the most talented human being on the planet." She said:
- On Beyoncé's performance advice for Country Strong: "Beyoncé is the most talented human being on the planet. She has so much mastery over what she does. It’s not even confidence — it’s on a whole other level. It’s mind-blowing. I watched her (perform) a lot to see how she did it, and I was like 'Sh*t! I can’t do that!'"
- On performing at the Country Music Awards: "Two weeks before I did it, I was dying. I couldn’t sleep. I couldn’t eat. I was like, 'Why would I say yes to this? What is wrong with me? What kind of maniac would agree to do this?' It was one of those nights I’ll look back on and think, 'Wow, I can’t believe I actually pulled that off.'"
- On how she tackled her Country Strong role: "I had the best time doing it. It’s rare that you read a role that’s so juicy and complicated, and also so sweet and human. Kelly has a good heart. I just loved how real she is . . . Alcoholism is such a vicious cycle and Robert (Downey Jr) really helped me understand it. I understand how you can do something bad for you because I smoked forever. I smoked even when my dad had throat cancer. I was like 'I know this is probably going to kill me, but I’m going to smoke it anyway.' But I didn’t understand wrecking other people’s lives, and then kind of just waking up and tying your shoes. So he helped me figure that out."
